Annual curricula co-developed and co-taught with Dorothee Richter.
Each study year combined theoretical seminars and collective readings with a collaborative exhibition, publication, conference, or workshop.
2016–17 — Postcolonial and Decolonial Practices in the Exhibitionary Complex
Curriculum investigating postcolonial and decolonial approaches to art institutions, curatorial practice, and cultural representation. Readings included Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, Stuart Hall, Nikos Papastergiadis, Homi K. Bhabha, Trinh T. Minh-ha, and Anna Tsing, alongside discussions of glocalisation.
The curriculum culminated in the shared exhibition and Summer Academy De-Colonizing Art Institutions, the international symposium at Kunstmuseum Basel, and two edited publications: OnCurating, Issue 34: Decolonizing Art Institutions: Artists’ Book and OnCurating, Issue 35: De-Colonizing Art Institutions
